Blair High School decided against playing sports Saturday after a tornado tore through Washington County on Friday.
As a result, the Bears' golf team played just nine of its scheduled 27 holes at Oakland Golf Club, Thursday through Saturday.
Coach Ross Udey's team did compete Thursday during an Oakland-Craig quadrangular with North Bend Central and West Point-Beemer. Connor Wayman and Jase Lantry finished as Blair's low scorers.
Wayman took 46 swings with a birdie on hole No. 8, while Lantry carded 49 strokes, finishing two holes even.
BHS' Tyler Lantry shot a 57, too, while Justin Bird and Degan Dresden finished with 60 and 61 swings, respectively. Their team finished fourth with 212 strokes overall, while West Point had 175 to win.
In junior varsity play, Liem Taylor led a Bears team of Wyatt Loftis (58 strokes), Israel Tinoco (62) and Will Madsen (63) with a nine-hole 58.
Coach Udey's lineup next plays 9 a.m. today during the Eastern Midlands Conference Tournament at Woodland Hills Golf Course south of Eagle.
