Bakker earns Bears win at No. 2 Singles

The Blair High School tennis team dropped an Eastern Midlands Conference (EMC) dual at Waverly on Tuesday, 4-1.
Fiene Bakker earned the Bears' lone varsity victory, securing an 8-2 win at No. 2 singles. Abi Lundberg, meanwhile, lost a tight, 8-6 match at No. 1 singles.
BHS' Tailyn Anderson dropped her No. 3 singles match, 8-6, as well.
The Vikings won both doubles matches, too. The Bears' Abby Leggott and Ally Sullivan fell 8-4, while Leah Chance and Shelby Wolff lost 8-4.
Coach David Christensen's team was set to host Omaha Skutt on Thursday before the EMC Tournament on Monday at Woods Tennis Center.
