Eagles, Pioneers play Northridge Country Club
The Arlington and Fort Calhoun boys golf teams closed out their regular season schedules Thursday at Northridge Country Club in Tekamah.
The Eagles finished with 401 strokes, while the Pioneers carded 426 during the Tekamah-Herman Tigers' home invitational. FCHS was set to compete again Monday during the Class B-2 District Tournament at River Wilds Golf Club, while AHS plays today at Oakland Golf Club during the C-2 tourney.
At Northridge, though, Jacob Meehan shot the Washington County low for the Eagles. He carded 89 strokes, while teammate Josh Hamre finished with 91. Tyler Anthofer added 100, and both Ben Stork and Johnathan Taylor finished 18 holes with 131 swings.
Owen Miller, meanwhile, finished with 90 strokes to lead Fort Calhoun in the regular season finale. Jayden Miller added 102, while both Adam Elofson and Caden Newman carded 117 swings. Beau Ruma shot a 122, too.
On May 8, Arlington also played its old home course — Fremont Golf Club — in a previously postponed triangular. Meehan and Hamre carded 9-hole 48s, while Stork finished with 57 swings.
Taylor added 64 strokes while Jordan Camden had 66, Christian Yager notched 68 and Nate Erwin finished with 69. Wyatt Johnson shot a 72 as well.

Bears compete at River Wilds
The Blair golf team played holes at its home course to close out its regular season Thursday against Gretna.
The Bears and Dragons competed in a two-man scramble at River Wilds Golf Club with the duos of Bode Soukup and Degan Dresden, and Will Madsen and Aaron Hinman, both finishing with 37 strokes across nine holes. Rylan Blattert and Tyler Lantry finished with a 41.
A day earlier, May 8, junior varsity Bears also played their home course during a Bennington JV Invite. Nolan Wolfe, Wyatt Loftis, Landon Holtz, Carter Miller and Liem Taylor combined for 473 strokes across 18 holes with Wolfe shooting the team low — 112.
Loftis finished with 115 strokes, too.
The Bears were scheduled to compete for state qualifications Tuesday during the B-2 District Tourney back at River Wilds.
