The Blair High School girls soccer team closes the 2024 season one win shy of its program’s first state tournament in 21 years.
The Bears lost to Columbus Scotus on Saturday, 4-2, at Krantz Field in the Class B-8 District Final. They led 2-0 on goals by Claire Anderson and Valeria Hernandez, but surrendered four-straight to the Shamrocks’ Emma Brezenski, including two on penalty kicks.
Coach Nick Hall’s BHS squad closes the season 11-6 overall. It's the Bears’ winningest season since they went 12-5 in 2013.
Saturday’s match was the last for four Blair seniors — Hernandez, Wrylee Osterhaus, Marin Sather and Katie Kramer.
