Blair man bowls a 300 game

Trevarthen attains feat at Maplewood Lanes in Omaha

It took 22 years of bowling, but Matthew Trevarthen has his first perfect game 300.
The Blair man set the career best Nov. 19 at Maplewood Lanes in Omaha. He knocked down every pin for 12-straight strikes, playing alongside his daughter, Mackenzi, and their league teammates.
Overall, Trevarthen finished the three-game series with a 743. He bowled a 232 in the second and a 211 during the third game.
The United State Bowling Congress member hadn't expected to play well in Omaha after competing the day before in Lincoln, though. He bowled 18 games with teammate Jospeh Paustian during the Ultra Doubles tournament at Sun Valley Lanes & Games on Nov. 18. They qualified for the finals ninth out of 63 duos before finishing third overall.
The next day, however, nobody had a better game than Trevarthen.
