Blair Seniors improve to 31-5

The Blair Senior Legion baseball team will enter postseason play with a 31-5 overall record.
The Post 154 Bears established that mark Monday and Tuesday, topping Wayne 5-0 first before a 9-1 victory against Columbus Lakeview at Vets Field.
Blaine Rosenbaum, Jakob Gaskill and Colton Flynn combined to pitch a two-hitter Monday against Post 43. Rosenbaum struck out four batters across three innings, while Flynn struck out three in 1 2/3 and Gaskill sat down two in 2 1/3.
Offensively, Blair's Nate Wachter finished with two RBIs, while both Tanner Jacobson and Greyson Kay had one. Jacobson notched the Bears' lone multi-base hit — a triple.
Brady Brown and Owen Mann had two hit apiece during Post 154's 30th victory of the summer as well.
In the 31st, Kay and Dylan Swanson totaled three RBIs apiece. Swanson was 3-for-3 with a double, while Kay also tallied a double against Lakeview.
Brown added two RBIs to season total as well while Blair bested their visitors in just five innings by run-rule.
Post 154's Lee Chavez-Lara and Jacobson split pitching duties, combining for five strikeouts.
