Deceased death info: Yokohama, Japan

Larimore "Larry" Dean Jensen passed away on April 6, 2024, in Yokohama, Japan, with his wife, Noriko and son, Nels by his side. Larry was born and raised on a family farm near Blair, Neb. He graduated from Blair High School, earned a political science degree from Northwestern University, and studied law at Stanford University. He served in the U.S. Navy for six years becoming a Lieutenant Commander and Korean War veteran.

Larry settled in San Mateo, Calif., with his wife, Jan, to raise their three children, Dirk, Brooke and Nels, while working in international business and sales. Being from Nebraska, Larry enjoyed visiting family and friends on many return trips, and he was forever a Nebraska Cornhuskers fan. He was a member of the Foster City Lyons Club, the Peninsula Masonic Lodge, and Asiya Shriners. He devoted his time to charitable causes, including fundraising for Shriners Hospitals. Following the unexpected loss of his first wife, Jan, in 1974, Larry married Noriko in 1979. Larry lived happily with Noriko in San Mateo, and in 2011, moved to Kawasaki, Japan to enjoy the country he first experienced as a young naval aviator.

Larry is survived by Noriko, Dirk (Dawn), Brooke, and Nels (Vera); and his grandchildren, Bailey, Claire and Cole. Larry lived a full life, desired peace for all, and would want you to cherish your family and friends.
