Blair softball players Mia McClain, Regan Blattert and Claire Anderson scored runs Tuesday night while Class B No. 10 Elkhorn tallied none.
The fourth-ranked Bears won on the road 3-0, propelled to victory by senior pitcher Brooke Janning's complete-game no-hitter. The ace struck out 13 Antlers as coach Jennifer Fangmeier's squad improved to 17-5 overall this season.
Elkhorn, meanwhile, dropped to 12-9 after Janning produced her squad's first run of the Eastern Midlands Conference matchup during the third inning. Anderson scored as a result of her pitcher's swing as the Bears went ahead for good.
BHS scored again during the top of the fifth and seventh innings, totaling seven hits for the game. McClain had three hits, while Janning totaled two, and Emmi Hall and Blattert had one apiece.
The Bears were scheduled to face Waverly on Thursday and will next play Elkhorn North on Monday. The latter home game starts at 6:30 p.m. after a junior varsity contest at 5 on the Blair Youth Softball Association field.
