Arlington Senior Legion baseball coach TJ Stosich said Tyler Ott and Andy Misfeldt led the way Monday.
The pitchers combined for a 7-4 victory against South Sioux City at the Washington County Fairgrounds. The win pushed Post 71's season record to 6-6 overall.
The Arlington Juniors also bested their visitors, 13-3. They led by one after one inning and added seven runs during the second to pull away.
Jack Morgan plated the Junior Legion Eagles' first run of the second inning before Parker Robinson scored on an error for a 3-0 lead. Peyton Marfisi pushed across the next two runs before Post 71's sixth run scored on a passed ball.
Arlington's Burke Quinn pushed the home squad's lead to 7-0 by sacrifice before Jackson Stosich scored the last run of the breakout inning on another South Sioux City pitch gone awry.
The Juniors played a makeup game Tuesday, too, and won 5-2 against Hooper-Scribner.
Post 71 baseball teams next compete in Ralph Bishop League tournament play. The Junior Legion tourney starts Saturday before the Senior tournament's start on Sunday.
The Ralph Bishop brackets progress through the July 6 finals.
