DISTRICT VOLLEYBALL UPDATE: Blair falls to Class B’s No. 1 team

Posted

The top-seeded Norris Titans defeated the Blair High School volleyball team Saturday morning during the Class B-1 District Final.
The Bears fell 25-11, 25-17 and 25-5, closing out the season 10-22 after last Tuesday’s subdistrict tourney win in Schuyler.
“There's nothing to hang your head about losing to the No. 1 team in the state,” BHS coach Becca Mellema said after Saturday’s match.
The Bears, arguably, played their best in the second set, pulling within 23-16 on Peyton Ogle’s kill. They’d started the set behind 9-1.
The district final was Ogle and fellow senior Savanah Roan’s last as Blair volleyball players.
