Fort Calhoun's Levi Bowen topped 100s of runners Saturday during the Nebraska Junior High Cross-Country Championships at Papillion-La Vista South.
The Pioneer clocked in at 10:57.75 across 3,000 meters for first place in the Open race standings, leading his team to a seventh-place showing. The Arlington girls were seventh in the Open race, too, while the Eagle boys finished 13th.
Adalee Field, meanwhile, led Otte Blair Middle School in the Championship girls race. She was 44th in 12:52.84, while Ava Wacker (68th) and Sophie Lyon (89th) also earned top-10 finishes.
Owen Swaney led the Bears' boys team, taking 137th in the boys Championship race.
Bowen, however, led Calhoun alongside Paxtyn Wagner (39th) and Mavrick Donahoe (47th) within the top-50. Fort Calhoun girls Chloe Buckner (28th in 13:27.68) and Samantha Waters (100th) finished within the top-100, too.
Dominic Morrison, meanwhile, was eighth to lead the Arlington boys. He clocked in at 11:30.5 after 3,000 meters, while Logan Hilgenkamp was 60th.
Stella Stratman earned 30th in 13:39.96 to lead the Eagle girls, while Miranda Morrison and Willa Wollberg took 33rd and 85th, respectively.
