Class C1 No. 8 Fort Calhoun High School improved to 5-1 on the football field Friday night.
The Arlington Eagles improved to 2-4, too, while the Class B No. 10 Blair Bears dropped to the same season record.

Fort Calhoun 28, Logan View 14: Adam Elofson broke a 7-7 tie with a touchdown run, added another and threw a scoring pass to Chase Premer as the Pioneers earned their fifth win in six games this season. Chase Bierman connected on all four of his extra-point kicks, too, as FCHS moves onto next Friday’s game at Omaha Concordia.

Arlington 38, North Bend Central 14: The Eagles celebrated homecoming week with their first home victory since Oct. 1, 2021. North Bend Central scored first, but AHS earned its first lead during the second quarter and held it from there. Owen Ladehoff and Killian McIntosh combined for five touchdown runs in the game. The Eagles are 2-4 in Class C2 with a game at Yutan next on the schedule.

Bennington 35, Blair 7: Returning from injury, Bears quarterback Cooper Sorensen kept his team from going scoreless in its homecoming game. He scored on a 12-yard run with just 3.6 seconds left as the top-ranked Badgers remained unbeaten. Blair next plays another unbeaten — Seward — on the road.
