LaDona RoGene Warren peacefully entered  Heaven’s gates on September 20, 2024, surrounded by family.

Born on November 20, 1939, in Wausa, Nebraska, Dona graduated from Lyons High School in 1957. She married John Robert “Bob” Warren on August 8, 1959, at First Lutheran Church in Oakland, Nebraska. The Warrens had two children, Rob and Molly, and moved to Blair, where they would raise their family. Dona worked in the guidance counselor’s office at Blair High School for many years before her retirement in the mid-’80s.

Dona’s love of life and family lent way to many lifelong hobbies. In their younger years, Dona and Bob enjoyed dancing. She loved to fish and travel, especially to tropical beaches and the lakes of Minnesota. An avid golfer, Dona loved to shop and play bridge with friends. Dona enjoyed sewing and was quite the cook, having (unbeknownst to most) received the Betty Crocker Homemaker of the Year Award in high school.

Above all, Dona’s biggest passion was spending time with her family. She cheered through hundreds of ballgames and never failed to make Christmas Eve magical for her grandchildren. A caretaker to many, Dona cherished her many friendships dearly.

Dona was preceded in death by the love of her life, Bob; her parents, Arthur and Violet Oltjenbruns; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Sid and Martha Warren; sister, Nadine and brother-in-law, Glen Anderson; brother-in-law, Larry Kjeldgaard; sister-in-law, Jean Worley; and nephew, Matt Worley.

She is survived by her children, Rob (Julie) Warren of Omaha and Molly (Dan) Dahlgren of Blair; grandchildren: Sara Warren; Matt (Allison) Warren; Tyler (Alyssa) Dahlgren; Emily (Andrew) Plagge and Zach (Taylor) Dahlgren; great-grandchildren, Jack and Wade Warren, Micah and Walker Dahlgren, and Avery Plagge, in addition to many other relatives and friends.
