Blair High School senior Mackenzie Storjohann shot a career low across 18 holes Monday, and finished with 196 strokes total Tuesday, during the NSAA Class B State Golf Championships in Gering.
The Bear finished with just 93 swings during the first round at Monument Shadows Golf Course, establishing a new career-best score after first breaking 100 strokes earlier this season. Since, she’s tallied multiple scores in the 90s, finishing out her final prep season with a 103 Tuesday.
“Overall, I’m incredibly proud,” BHS coach Rachel Brown said.
Storjohann shot even on eight of her 36 state holes, closing out her last-ever high school round with three pars across the last five she played, Nos. 14-18.
“It was a great break from school,” the senior said Tuesday. She was tied for 40th with players still out on the course as of 4:45 p.m.
