The city of Blair's water system tested positive for E.coli, announced city administrator Phil Green Wednesday evening.

A boil advisery was issued in the city of Blair and village of Kennard. According to the Village of Kennard's Facebook account, the village currently uses Blair water, and while there is no indication E.coli was detected in the village, a boil advisory was still issued.

"The City of Blair has issued a boil advisory for all citizens, municipalities, and subdivisions that use City of Blair water," a press release from Green reads. "Our water utility department continues to work tirelessly to correct the issue."

The release states that water will be retested Thursday and Friday.

"It is important to note that water that is used for drinking, brushing your teeth, washing your dishes, rinsing food, etc. should be boiled prior to use," the release reads. "It is safe to bathe or shower using the water."
