Jeffrey “Jeffro” Gene Nielsen, age 56 of Elkhorn, formerly of Blair, passed away May 28, 2024. Graveside services will be held Saturday, June 8, 2024, at 10 a.m. at the Blair Cemetery.
Jeff was born May 10, 1968, in Atlantic, Iowa, the son of Gene and Nancy Nielsen. He was raised in Blair and graduated from Blair High School in 1986. Jeff loved playing sports during his youth and was an avid golfer. He was a dedicated employee at Werner Trucking as an assurance consultant. Jeff truly loved getting together with his childhood friends, and especially enjoyed calling them at all hours, day and night, to chit-chat.
He is survived by his siblings; brother Todd (Denise) Nielsen of Blair, sister Lisa Hansen of Blair and brother Paul Hansen of Atlantic, Iowa, nieces and nephews; Gena Hansen, Ashley Nielsen, Derek Hansen, Nick Nielsen, Heather Beeder and Tyler Beeder, along with extended family and countless friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, infant brother Douglas Nielsen, brother John Hansen and his grandparents.
