Ross Alexander Kessler, age 37, of Mondamin, Iowa, passed away July 9, 2024. Memorial services will be held Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at 10 a.m. at First United Methodist Church in Blair, Nebraska. Military graveside honors will follow in the Herman Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday, July 15, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Campbell Aman Funeral Home in Blair.

Ross was born January 12, 1987, in Fremont, Ohio, the son of Larry and Brenda Kessler. He was raised in Coleridge, North Carolina, graduating from Eastern Randolph High School in 2005. After high school, he enlisted in the United States Navy and served until his honorable discharge in 2014.

On May 3, 2014, he was united in marriage to Amanda Jean Jordan at First United Methodist Church in Blair. The couple welcomed their first child, Wade Marshall Kessler, on Feb. 8, 2015; and their daughter, Madison Rose Kessler, on Aug. 23, 2017. Ross was a dedicated father and husband who always put his family first.

He was an avid outdoorsman; he loved hunting, fishing and riding his motorcycle. He was also a proud fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes football. Ross was always a very hands-on father and was very engaged in his kids activities and sporting events, as well as being a loving and supportive husband to Amanda.

Ross is survived by his wife Amanda; children: Wade and Madison; parents: Larry and Brenda Kessler; sisters: Paige Kessler and Sheryl Warden; parents-in-law: Kent and Allison Jordan; brother-in-law: Kyle Jordan; sister-in-law: Elizabeth Jordan; grandmothers: Judy Cravens, Jean Jordan and Linda Downey; nieces and nephews: Camden and Cole Kessler, Jonathan Kessler, and Lila Mestrey; aunts, uncles, extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Butch Cravens, Joan Atwater, Larry and Sue Kessler, Dwain Jordan and John “Jack” Downey.
