Kevin Reid Robinson, aged 66, “Robbie” as he was known to most, passed away in his home on September 3rd, 2024, with family nearby.

Kevin was born on October 28th, 1957, to Bob and Marie Robinson, in Onawa, Iowa. He joined his older brother, Jesse, and twin brother Kris at home. He spent his early years in Moorhead, Iowa, until moving to Lyons, Nebraska. In high school, he was in FFA, and participated in football, wrestling and track. Excelling in wrestling, he set the Nebraska state record for fastest pin, at 5 seconds, which still stands today.

After High school, in 1976 Robbie joined the US Navy and completed training as a Hull Technician, specializing in welding. He served with distinction for 8 years. While in, he was stationed on two ships, the USS Monticello LSD-35, and the USS Haleaka AE-25, and was stationed ashore at Naval Station Alameda, and Naval Station Bangor. He was honorably discharged in 1984.

During his time in the Navy, he met his wife, Barbara, thanks to his twin brother, who set him up with her. They were married on June, 14th, 1980, and spent the next 43 years together. They had four children: Chris, Kathy, Kevin, and J.C. They had many good times together. There’s never been a better man that taught his children so much. His love will be missed.

Most of his adult life was spent in the Columbia River Gorge and near family in Nebraska. He was a provider for his family, working in construction as a heating and air conditioning technician and in interstate commerce. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, with target shooting being one of his favorites. Many a bullseye was hit when he was on the range.

He is survived by his wife Barbara; son Chris; daughter Kathy; son Kevin and daughter-in-law Amy; son J.C. and daughter-in-law Danika; father Robert; mother Marian; brother Jesse; and sister Kara. Grandchildren: Kellen, Kaiden, Kaylee, Samantha, Ty, and Jennifer. Along with many nieces and nephews, as well as extended family. He was preceded in death by his mother Marie, and twin brother Kris.

He will be deeply missed, and thought of often.

— We love you Dad
